The annual spring music festival in Indio, California has just revealed its lineup for 2024, announcing Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat as the weekend's headliners.
Along with the headliners will feature sets from Ice Spice, J Balvin, Jhené Aiko, Lil Uzi Vert, Reneé Rapp, Sabrina Carpenter and Victoria Monet, among others.

Doja Cat will become just the second Black female artist to headline Coachella, following Beyoncé's performance in 2018. Doja Cat is coming off a record-breaking world tour for her 2023 album, Scarlet, and is hitting the Coachella stage for the first time since 2022.
It'll be the first time in 10 years that Lana Del Rey performs at Coachella, being previously scheduled as a supporting set in 2020, before the festival was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her most recent album, Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd, received critical acclaim and is nominated for five Grammy awards.
Having been to both these artists' concerts in 2023, the decision to have them headline the popular music festival is a no-brainer. Both Lana and Doja have plenty of experience playing at festivals, which I believe contain their strongest performances. Doja Cat's 2022 Coachella set received amazing reviews across the music industry and fans alike, especially given the fact that she was only a supporting act to headliners Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd. Her recent release of music only increases the hype surrounding her upcoming performance, which will now be in the headliner role.
For Lana, her style of music and personality fits perfectly in the festival atmosphere. She's never been the "performing" artist that her counterparts are, largely due to the fact that most fans of Lana and even the general public don't expect her to break out into strategically designed choreography. Given the headlining title, I think Lana will shine brightly with what she's known best for: her voice. Expect a lot of fan-favorites and early Lana Del Rey career highlights.
